WordPress is a really powerful and secure CMS system, but if you are using it with the default installation, your site is always under risk. For example, if your login URL is yoursite.com/wp-admin hackers will always know where to start. In this post, I will show you how to quickly fix this issue for a more secure WordPress website.

1. Install “WPS Hide Login” Plugin

To install WPS Hide Login plugin first go to Plugins > Add New Page and search for WPS Hide Login. In the search results click on the Install button.

After the installation is complete, click on the Activate button to activate the plugin.

2. Change Login Page URL

To change the login page URL, visit Settings > General page and search for login URL setting at the bottom of the page.

In this text field, enter any generic text that is suitable for you.

Warning; Make sure to note this setting down, because if you forget this URL, you may not be able to login to your site again.

After you edit your login URL setting, Save the settings.
